The Carl E. Touhey Men's Golf Scholarship was created by Carl Touhey to ensure the long-term success of Sun Devil Men's Golf while also leaving a lasting legacy on the program in hopes that recipients of the scholarship will give back to ASU when they have the opportunity. Your support of the scholarship helps offset costs for tuition, room and board, and books for Sun Devil Golf student-athletes.
Impact of Donor Support
- The cost for an out-of-state student-athlete to attend ASU for one year is $71,660 on average between tuition, team travel, equipment, sports medicine, food and nutrition and tutoring/academic resources.
- Arizona State ranked No. 1 in the Pac-12 Conference for the second year in a row in 2023 for Academic Progress Rating which tracks achievement in the classroom year over year ahead of Stanford, Cal, USC and UCLA.
- Some more metrics that show just how much these hard-working student-athletes have achieved with your support: 3.3 average GPA (fall 2022), 76% of student-athletes received “Scholar Baller” status (3.0 GPA or higher), 110 student-athletes with a 4.0 GPA and 138 Academic All-Americans since 2000, which ranks second in the Pac-12 during that stretch.
